A: Writing copy and crafting your marketing message is a personal journey. Here are some top tips for writing copy. First and foremost, you must FEEL aligned with what you want to share. This starts with assuring your values are infused in everything you do. Because your values equal value.

Beyond that I highly recommend approaching your copy and marketing messages as love letters to your clients. When you approach your message from the heart and with the intention of being of service rather than simply pushing a sale, you’ll get better results.   

 
Here’s an outline of my top tips for writing better copy, as featured in my copywriting course

 

·        Understand the importance of copy (your word is your honor) 

·        Dial in your avatar and niche (this can be WAY easier than most tell you it is) 

·        Showcase your WIIFM Factor (your copy should be all about the benefits to your client, not how great you are) 

·        Solidify your value proposition (you have this dialed in for each product and service, right?) 

·        Never overcome an objection again (when your copy is clear, you won’t have to) 

·        Craft headlines that speak to your soulmate clients (weak headlines fall flat, and so do sales, so let’s amplify your copywriting abilities) 

·        Format your copy and messages so they POP (there are very specific ways to format your copy so it works better, and there are formatting techniques that actually hurt your efforts). 

·        Create a double readership path to capture the attention of both scanner and analytical readers (this is a thing, and you may be losing readers if you don’t know about it) 

·        Use urgency ethically (others are teaching some pretty cheesy tactics, so let’s keep it on the up and up) 

·        Learn how to close the deal (without hard sell tactics) 

·        Put the finishing touches on your project when you implement the techniques I shared (this is important, and having fresh eyes on your content can be invaluable).
