• Q: Is email marketing dead? I’ve heard a lot of buzz about it and I wonder if it’s worth the effort?

    A: I assure you email marketing is not dead. 

    There’s been some buzz about email.

    • Some say it’s dead
    • Some say they don’t read it
    • Some are afraid to get started

    Here’s what I know! Email is alive and well and you’ve got to feed it, nurture it, breathe new life into it.

    Let me ask YOU some questions.

    How do you feel about email marketing?

    Dead? Alive? Indifferent? Overwhelmed?

    It’s important to create content that your audience wants to consume.

    I’ve been publishing Manyon’s Musings for around 10 years now. The key to success is showing up, course correcting and getting feedback from your community. 

    Speaking of that, here are some interesting stats on  open rates for email from Constant Contact per industry category (interesting if you’re a stats person).

    Here’s what I find curious…

    My newsletters and email for Manyon Musings subscribers typically pull average or a little below average open rates. Nothing to brag about… pretty standard really.

    My initial nurture sequence for the Copywriting Action Plan, however, is off the charts successful.  I took a look at strategy and created some fresh new content to re-energize the series. I pulled stats today AND holy open rates Batman. THIS is what I found.

    We’re talking an 85% open rate and 76% click rate. THIS is not a typo. This means that YOU, and everyone else who is drawn to my message about focusing on PASSION points instead of pain points, are deeply interested in improving your marketing messages, writing better copy, and creating your own strategy for success. 

    Here’s the THING about that. Success doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It happens from collaborating with the right people. This can be business advisers, coaches, consultants and experts who can help you create success on your own terms.
