• Vision Are you on track to accomplish your BIG vision and mission?

Often we are so close to our own business vision that we forget how important it is to get outside perspective to move us forward and encourage our growth.

Your ability to carry forth your vision increases with planning, strategy, implementation and collaboration. It allows you to anchor in your legacy and create a lasting impact in the world and within your profession. I mention this because, it’s never too early to start planning for your success, the New Year, (even upcoming quarter) or for your next big project

It’s also important to reassess what you’re doing now (be sure to read my blog post Re-Evaluate, Re-Package Re-Position but don’t Re-brand here ).

In fact, I suggest re-evaluating where you are in your business at a minimum quarterly (this applies to updating your web content and strategy, too).

As entrepreneurs and business owners, we naturally grow, evolve, and change (usually at rapid pace).

NOW is a great time to evaluate where you are, where you’ve been and where you’re going. This includes reviewing projections, making adjustments and creating a solid plan for success. As we grow and evolve this may mean that our business model will change, too.

For example: My core offerings are web makeovers, web copy and strategy and content strategy plans. This is not all that I do and as such my business is evolving based on my BIG vision (which, by the way, is to change the way we market forever). My big vision ties directly into my mission which continues to evolve (or at least the way I’m making it happen continues to evolve). In addition to my core offerings I’m now called to more paid speaking, training and breakout sessions to teach the NEW marketing model for success. I also offer one-to-one coaching/consulting/mentoring and VIP Business Marketing Strategy Days.

My BIG mission is to give YOU a voice to turn your ideas into something that matters with relationship based messaging and marketing strategies that come from a place of service FIRST. I serve mission-driven entrepreneurs including authors, speakers, coaches, teachers, trainers, corporate leaders, healers, change agents, artists and light-workers who are wildly diverse and seemingly have nothing in common. Yet you do have a common thread– that ONE common thread is A BIG MISSION (to facilitate positive change in the world and begin to heal the threads of humanity on our planet). You often struggle to turn your big mission into a palatable marketing message that gets results (mostly because what’s being taught is antiquated and manipulative and doesn’t resonate on a core, soul level).

As the creator of the NEW marketing model for success (as seen in Inc. Magazine and now the book Wonder Women: How Western Women Will Save The World) I step in to provide clarity and create marketing messages and strategies that matter, make a difference and make money.

My business is a freedom based business model so that I can work and play anywhere. Currently I choose to be in the location I added in Ashland, Oregon. Since choosing to add another location here my offerings have continued to evolve. My business is now over 10 years young (we celebrated the birth of Write On Creative in October). And now, in addition to my core offerings, I offer one-on-one, high-level consulting and strategy services and am available for speaking, training and breakout sessions. I’m not necessarily changing what I do (it’s all about marketing messages and strategy) but I am re-packaging how I do it.

I share this with you because I teach by example. I want to know about your BIG vision. How does it tie in with your mission? Is it time to re-evaluate, re-package and re-position (not necessarily re-brand — a BIG pet peeve of mine)? AND if you’re curious about spending focused time on your business to re-evaluate, re-package and re-position be sure to check out the details here.

Love this Lisa! Vision is crucial to the way we build our business and our life. Lose sight of it and you’ll find you’re living someone else’s version of “perfection,” but not yours.

    7. Great post, Lisa. I totally agree that it is so important to evaluate where you are in your business multiple times through out the year to make sure you are still on track and in alignment with your vision and goals.

      • Lisa Manyon says:

I am still surprised by how many people DON’T take the time to re-evaluate where they are in business. Many get stuck working in their business instead of on their business.

I agree so much that keeping a big vision is critical. When I lose sight of it is when things get tougher. Ha! That’s motivation enough, no?

      • Lisa Manyon says:

Yes, any time things become challenging it’s a motivation to course correct. When we are clear about your big vision, mission and values, doing our work is much easier. 🙂
