• Aspire Magazine April/May 2012Have you noticed that your marketing techniques aren’t working like they once did? Are you still applying antiquated approaches hoping to get better results? You’re not alone. Many people, especially heart-centered entrepreneurs are realizing they must approach marketing in a NEW way in order to truly connect with those they are meant to serve.

It’s time for the NEW marketing model for success and it’s all about marketing with integrity. I’ve been feeling a BIG shift in what’s working and what’s not for quite some time. It’s become very clear that what’s been working in the marketing industry isn’t working as well as it once did. In fact, I challenge the age old industry adage that “Copy is King.” I’ve found that copy is actually QUEEN and content strategy is KING and together they are the key to creating strong and effective results. Even the best copy in the world won’t work if you don’t have a strategy in place. Think of strategy as masculine energy and copy as feminine energy -both are vital but if they are not working together it’s a struggle.

There is a new marketing model for success, I created it, I’m owning it and I’m sharing it with you. You’ll find the full article on this topic “Find Your Voice: The New Marketing Model For Success is Here” in the latest issue of Aspire Magazine. I’m honored to have my work featured in the same issue as talented thought leaders like Shatki Gawain, Andrew Cohen, , Robert Mack, Monica Shah and more. You can access the full issue here (you don’t have to opt in if you don’t want to but I highly encourage you to — publisher Linda Joy is a phenomenal person and you’ll want to get connected).

Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll discover from my article…

I’ve found that the traditional copywriting formula of “Problem. Agitate. Solve.” isn’t resonating with women. Women are looking for solutions to their challenges. What’s really working is the new copywriting formula of “Challenge. Solution. Invitation.” In the traditional formula we highlight the issue, we agitate that issue to focus on the pain points and then we solve the problem. I believe people are in enough pain. We don’t need to be agitated to make a decision. In fact, especially for women, when someone acknowledges our challenges (and really understands where we’re coming from), provides a helpful solution and extends a friendly invitation, we’re more likely to take action. Nothing truly flows when it comes from a place of pain and fear…

I’d really love to hear your responses to my article — You’ll find it in the April/May issue of Aspire Magazine on page 66-67 here.
