• Have you ever had an experience where you realize you’re not being as clear as you could be?

    This happened to me at a recent business retreat in Arizona. I was meeting with eight of my most trusted colleagues in a private mastermind meeting. Β I love meeting with this group because they give me clear perspective on my stuck spots and beyond and they are all wildly successful. Alice Cunningham, owner of Olympic Hot Tub Company, often says, “Make it easy to buy, own, and refer.” It’s such powerful wisdom.     5. Lisa – You nailed t – the more clear you are on exactly how you help people, what results you can help them achieve, and who those people are, the more clear it is to others. If people can’t quickly say what it is you do, that means they’re not entirely sure – and that means they probably won’t refer people to you.

      I went through the same thing with my business. As soon as I got crystal clear that we ONLY do branding/brand design and website design/strategy, my referrals skyrocketed!

      Now that doesn’t mean I doesn’t also offer social media brand design and ezine design etc. … but In all of my marketing and message I focus of branding and web design and the ease of having everything taken care of all in one place.

      Since then, the phone has been ringing off the hook with new business and ALL are from referrals!

    10. Love this post Lisa! I wrote about something similar a few weeks ago. My focus was clarity for the sake of preventing misunderstandings, unmet expectations and the like. But there is definitely merit in walking prospective clients through the different ways and levels they can work with you. Sometimes they visit your website, read your posts, watch your videos, etc. and want to take things to the next level with you and don’t know where to start. And as the saying goes, a confused mind does NOT act.
