• Dare to be differentLately I’ve had some really deep conversations with clients and colleagues. I’m continually honored and humbled to work and play with such incredible people. The feedback I’m getting on Manyon Marketing Web Makeovers and Content Strategy Plans is truly blowing my mind. One client recently shared that after our sessions her new focus generated $40,000.00 on one eZine campaign. WOW! (new testimonial for my site coming soon and I will say this is not your typical result – however I am attracting some fabulous clients).

But on a more personal level we’ve been discussing what really matters. People are thinking about where they’ve been, where they are now and where they are going. A common theme lately has been “introspection” and “pre-paving” while enjoying the “NOW”.

I believe it’s important to stay in touch with all phases of your life and at the same time I’ve found that living in the moment fully while preparing to step into your ideal life, truly serves you best.

So, I’m taking time to focus on where I’ve been, where I am and where I’m going and throwing in a twist to incorporate it all into the “NOW” (the present moment) to create a really rich and even fuller life. For example:

One of the most important parts of “where I’ve been” is my family of origin. I’m blessed to have parents who are still married and live in the home where I spent my childhood. Although that’s a part of “where I’ve been” I realize that for me it’s important to stay connected, cherish the time we have and make a real effort to spend more time together (once or twice a year is not enough anymore — not sure it ever was).

Some of the most important parts of “where I am” are my current home & tribe in Idaho. I have a rich, full life here with wonderful friends, beautiful views and more. While I know I need a bit of a change of scenery I know I must first practice gratitude and allow for even more joy, laughter, health, wealth and love in my life. The rest will follow.

One of the most important parts of “where I am going” is my connection with members of the Millionair Protegee Club and other business connections who understand the importance of investing in themselves. My business tribe is a diverse group  of individuals and  people who are forward thinking, believe in my BIG vision and think on a really GRAND scale. We work, play and laugh together and lovely, life-long friendships have been formed.

For quite some time I was feeling a bit of disconnect from where I’ve been, where I am and where I’m going. I was stuck in “either or” thinking and I’ve shifted that to “AND” thinking. While I understand it’s important to not dwell in the past I also understand it’s important to honor my parents and the incredible, unconditional love they’ve given me. It’s important to include them more actively in “where I am now”. This means making sure we’re connecting as often as possible. There are times that I adore living in Idaho and times when I really want a change of scenery (which I’ve finally realized doesn’t mean I have to move). This is an area where a BIG shift recently occurred and I realized I can keep my home in Idaho AND add a winter home elsewhere.

Sometimes even I forget the possibilities even though I created a Laptop Lifestyle on purpose so I can work, live and play anywhere I have a laptop and phone connection. This shift allows me to be really grateful for where I am now. I also know that my connections with new, exciting, forward-thinking people fully support the person I am becoming and I must take time to foster and honor these relationships and allow myself to become the person I am meant to be. So, investing in myself and my business by spending time with the right people and participating in the right programs is going to get me to where I’m going quickly. The reason I share this personal information with you is because as an entrepreneur my life and work support my entire being.

The same can be true for you if you live your life on purpose and make the right choices. So, I ask you. Where have you been? Where are you now? Where are you going?

Why is each of these components of your life important? What are you doing to incorporate them into the ‘NOW” of your life to live in the moment?

Leave your comments below and I’ll respond. And, feel free to share this with someone who needs to reacquaint themselves with possibility.

    3. Hi Lisa
Lots of food for thought and some overlaps, certainly with family who are far away. And I too love the idea of a mobile life as I love to travel and visit new places. And those friendships, relationships and connections are so special!

Congrats on the success your clients are seeing

I do have to keep my ultimate values in mind when mapping out business growth because I don’t want the business to interfere with my freedom but rather create even more freedom for me and opportunities for others. It’s beautiful to have the ability to create the lifestyle of our dreams. Everyone has that ability if only they choose to take it.

Thanks for your support. I think it’s important to share from the heart and help inspire others to live their dreams while we are living ours. 🙂 I was so pleased to hear the results from my fabulous client and it will be added to the Write On Creative “Wall of Fame” soon. You are absolutely right about the “recipe” — in this case it’s strategy.

      Great post, Lisa!
Where have I been? On a long, winding, often bumpy road … that led me to where I am now: a place of creation, gratitude and excitement. Where am I going? To places I can feel, but can’t quite see yet. I know these future spaces are juicy … that’s why I keep showing up, sharing my gifts, and encouraging others to step into this amazing space, too.

Enjoy the ride, Lisa. Have fun finding your winter home. Fun!

    9. Lisa Manyon says:

I’ve loved watching your journey and cannot wait to see what unfolds for you. You are gifted and have such a beautiful spirit. 🙂 The fact that you’re not sure where you’re going but can feel the juiciness of it all is so inspiring.

      Blessed to know you.

      Write on!~

    10. Lisa,

Thank you for being so open! I, too, have my parents to thank for believing in me, no matter what. I wouldn’t be the same today if it were not for them!
