What if it’s not true?  I’m talking about the lies marketers tell us. I invite you to stop for a moment and think about this. What if what you’ve been taught about marketing and copywriting isn’t true? What if there is a different, new and better way? If you’ve felt like you’re trying to push a square peg into a round hole when it comes to the “traditional” marketing methods, you’ll want to check this out. I’ve had three interviews this past week about my marketing and copywriting philosophies. The BUZZ about my NEW “Challenge.Solution. Invitation” formula is really blowing my mind in a good way. (I’m hearing from people across the globe including marketing instructors from other countries and people are agreeing with the concept…) This topic reminds me of a book Seth Godin wrote called […]

In fact based on the response I’m getting to my article in Aspire Magazine titled Find Your Voice: The New Marketing Model for Success is Here! — It’s safe to say my philosophies on marketing and copywriting are right on time. Not only am I getting great response from my community and readers like you about the article, I’ve been interviewed about the topic several times lately. You can tune into the replay of Innovative Women in Business radio (just click the link) as Cathy Alessandra (the publisher of Today’s Innovative Women magazine — I’m one of her featured writers) interviews me about what’s really working in marketing and copywriting today. Please excuse our minor technical glitches — […]

Have you noticed that your marketing techniques aren’t working like they once did? Are you still applying antiquated approaches hoping to get better results? You’re not alone. Many people, especially heart-centered entrepreneurs are realizing they must approach marketing in a NEW way in order to truly connect with those they are meant to serve. It’s time for the NEW marketing model for success and it’s all about marketing with integrity. I’ve been feeling a BIG shift in what’s working and what’s not for quite some time. It’s become very clear that what’s been working in the marketing industry isn’t working as well as it once did. In fact, I challenge the age old industry adage that “Copy is King.” I’ve found that copy is actually QUEEN and content strategy is KING and together they are the key […]

Wine is a passion of mine. I wouldn’t say that I’m an expert. I simply enjoy wine. I believe wine is a form of art and I’ve experienced the entire process from planting to picking to crushing to aging to bottling to serving and, of course, tasting (Yummy). I’ve considered blogging about wine for quite some time but mostly, I simply enjoy it and I’m fascinated by the art and craft of wine.  I’m writing about it now because my social media friend and wine maker Cynthia Cosco of Passaggio Wines featured me on her blog.  So, this post is a tribute to wine (aka entrepreneurial fuel), social media and un-oaked Chardonnay (yes, Chardonnay that is not aged in oak). Those  who know me well will wonder why I’m blogging about a white wine especially since I LOVE […]

“Children should be seen and not heard.” This is a Victorian-based idea that obedient, quiet children are superior to other children. Interestingly enough, it originally applied specifically to young women. With history like this, it’s not surprising that the societal and generational impact of specific sayings like “It’s not polite to brag,” and rhetorical questions like, “Who do you think you are?” continue to hold back women (and men, as well) even today. It’s hard to imagine a time when keeping to yourself was seen as a superior quality. Fast-forward to present day, and we see that many women still find themselves bound by the invisible chains of antiquated thinking and even familial programming. They shrink, hold back and don’t speak up. They are subconsciously afraid, maybe because they were taught as children that bragging isn’t polite […]
