Mitch,

Great points about meeting in person. It's a shame that more people aren't true to their word online as well. :)

Write on!~

Sue,

It's an idea I've been sitting on for quite some time and it's clearly time to unveil it and provide some added value to my community. :)

Lisa,
Sad but true and nice examples. Similar to your stories from clients and customers, I have many as well from my clients. It is amazing to me when
you hear live, see in writing, hear on the call all about the giving to get,
the 'heart centered' and the 'conscious entrepreneur' and then these same people end up being just about the money, nothing more and nothing less.
All of my clients, prospects and in fact everyone I meet has a heart and is usually conscious when we meet. Then we go from there.

Great marketing idea, Lisa. I'm imaging with your expertise many people will stand in line, and each will get great information.

Lisa, I cant agree more! In my experience, when you place the client first all the rest follows. If at any point in any profession, a person puts themselves first and only asks "whats in in for me" all of those bad experiences begin to happen. Ineffective outcomes and bad experiences. Being a brand new business myself... I am careful to watch out for those pitfalls from others. Its sad, because it almost feels as if I am being distrustful...and my natural tendency is to believe everyone is out to be 100% supportive and good. Nothing surprises me more than when someone else does not follow through on their promises or provide an overall lack integrity! Thanks for sharing!!!

Jeannie,
I'm so sorry you had a similar experience. I feel really blessed to have made really great choices (only two really bad experiences). I wish more people would operate from a place of values, integrity and service first. I bet they'd find more success that way.
Write on!~

Thanks Terry!

Yes, it is sad. That's what bothers me the most but I am going to have fun sharing valuable information with people and answering some questions, too. :)

Write on!~

Lisa,
Bravo and way to take a stand.

In my first days of being a start up I was taken advantage of multiple times. My problem was that everything was new and I didn't know what to expect. I soon found out the difference between "fluff" and practical strategies with substance. The more experience I got the more I started to expect more and I quickly learned who could deliver. I see many of my competitors offering a "show" and not results. My business model includes offering practical solutions specifically because I offer what I expect to receive.

I can't tell you how much I love your idea of cut to the chase conversations about copywriting and marketing. Looking forward to them.

And I also run into some of the same comments. Makes me sad (for the person who didn't get what they paid for) and mad that some people are still interested in the take the money and run approach. Ugh.

That is probably why I am very careful who I do business with!
