Do you REALLY have a content strategy?

communication

Do you REALLY have a content strategy? Sure, you have may have an overall marketing strategy but your content is your KEY to success.

Do you find yourself getting overwhelmed when it comes to ALL the marketing materials you have to write? Does it seem like a daunting task to create your eZines, printed newsletters, blog posts, social media posts, online marketing campaigns, sales letters, autoresponders (email campaigns), press releases, bios, website content and more?

I ask because if you are feeling stuck or like you’re just not sure where to start I can help. AND, this is more common that you might think.  In fact, most people over complicate the process and that is one of the BIG reasons I created my Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind program. Part of what I’m including in this program are  strategies to simplify your content creation, tips to repurpose your current content and ways to leverage current and new connections to generate new content. Together we’ll take a look at what you’ve been doing, what you could do differently and ways to maximize the efficiency of your content strategy. And throughout the program, I’ll also review up to 5 page of your copy each month to help you improve content and get better results.
If you’re in a place where you know you need help but you don’t know where to start, I can help. I’ve been there and I’m ready to help you move past the stuck spots.

The Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind program is an individual accountability coaching/consulting program with a mastermind twist. I’ve designed the MMMM program with your individual goals in mind — no cookie cutter BS. AND the interesting thing about this is — many of the Write On Creative Community are quite intrigued by the format and a bit perplexed about how I’ve grown my business and stayed true to myself.

Here’s what I’ve found. Many entrepreneurs are looking to others for answers when we really have the answers in our own hearts and minds.  While I invest in mentors to help grow my business, I don’t want to “be” my mentors.  What I mean by this is that if you do what you love, are passionate about it, offer your products/services in a way that is truly of service to others and do it authentically, you’ll succeed.I guess the short answer is to know who you are and stay true to that. That’s another reason why I’ve created my new Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind — to help people achieve their individual goals without a cookie cutter approach. I’m finding more and more people want that one-on-one accountability and the chance to mastermind with like-minded people.

Manyon Marketing Makeover Mentorship includes:

  • An initial one hour one-on-one strategy session to help map our your marketing plans for the next 6 months (a $225+ value)
  • The Power Planning Process audio and workbook to jump-start your planning (this is a program I use to help clients get really clear on their BIG picture and then back into a plan with action steps)
  • Two Monthly, half hour one-on-one calls with me-- Lisa Manyon (Valued at $225 per month)
  • Audio recording of your sessions for review and follow up (invaluable)
  • Structured email access to keep you on track and address questions you might have (a minimum $225 value)
  • Accountability plans with actionable follow up steps to keep you track
  • A 20 minute laser call each month if you need extra support (valued at $75)
  • Copywriting and marketing expertise and tips to help you connect with your ideal customers or clients (includes one website review or similar content up to five pages each month-valued at over $2,000.00 per month minimum)
  • Individual support material depending on your business needs
  • Group mastermind calls throughout the program (priceless)
  • Bonus surprises along the way (I love surprises)
  • The value of this program exceeds $2,000 per month (your investment is less than $1000 per month) and I am dedicated to helping you succeed…

The BIG question is — Are you REALLY ready to invest in yourself and your success?

Let’s find out… I’m inviting you to send an email to Info@writeoncreative.com with the subject line MMMM to request an application and let me know why you might be interested in the Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind program. I’ll send you all the details and an application. Also, feel free to forward this on to a friend who might be a good fit.

Please note this program may or may not be offered again because it’s going to take a lot of commitment from me to fully support you and I plan to do quite a bit of traveling in 2011. Applications will only be accepted through the end of September. AND I am only accepting up to 10 people – applications are already rolling in — so, even if you’re just thinking about it, request your application today so you don’t regret a missed opportunity later.

Is there something else you’d like to see included? Request your application and ask. I truly am designing this to meet your individual needs.

Are You Being TRUE to YOU?

Thursday, September 16th, 2010
Are you being TRUE to YOU? This may seem like a simple question and at the same time I’ve found it’s an important question to answer honestly. AND far too often, we’re not completely honest with ourselves. We hold ourselves back. We procrastinate. We don’t allow ourselves to be who we REALLY are because we crave approval. We question our worth and our worthiness. We shrink into a shadow of ourselves because being who we really are scares us a bit and it makes those around us uncomfortable — especially if they don’t have big aspirations.

The ironic thing about all of this is that we (and by we — I really mean YOU) can truly shine if we only give ourselves permission and start owning our strengths, talents and vision.

I’m sharing this today because I’ve been getting a lot of inquiries about my upcoming Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind program. It’s an individual accountability coaching/consulting program with a mastermind twist.  I’ve designed the MMMM program with your individual goals in mind — no cookie cutter BS. AND the interesting thing about this is — many of the Write On Creative Community are quite intrigued by the format and a bit perplexed about how I’ve grown my business and stayed true to myself.

Recently I received an email from a member of the Write On Creative community. She’s been following me & shared some observations and questions. I was touched by her words and she’s given me permission to share our exchange here.

Christine’s email inquiry:
Hi Lisa,
You sound great and I love your newsletters! I’ve been watching you grow since we connected last spring and I’m so impressed with how you market and grow your business. I love how you share your success with out ego and truly from your heart. I see you  have worked with Ali Brown’s program and how much you’ve enjoy it. I’ve become a fan of Ali’s and many of heart students, but I have to say I’m most impressed with you…why…because you don’t look like a cookie cutter follower ...I’ve followed lots of entrepreneurs to see what they do and I have to say they are all looking the same–except you. Do you mind sharing what it is that keep you unique, not a follower but someone who stands in her own shoes and is succeeding? I ask because this is what I want in my business and it’s not easy to find to find.
Best,
Christine Bové

My response:

“Hi Christine,
It’s great to hear from you and thanks so much for your kinds words. I think you are on the right track. So many entrepreneurs are looking to others for answers when we really have the answers in our own hearts and minds. What I mean by this is that if you do what you love, are passionate about it, offer your products/services in a way that is truly of service to others and do it authentically, you’ll succeed. While I invest in mentors to help grow my business, I don’t want to “be” my mentors. Many are so unsure of themselves or perhaps don’t know their purpose that they try to “copy” or emulate others instead of working with their internal truth. At least that’s been my observation. It’s okay to use tried and true marketing methods but it’s not okay to lose yourself in the process. Does that make sense?
I guess the short answer is to know who you are and stay true to that. That’s why I’ve created my new Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind — to help people achieve their individual goals without a cookie cutter approach. I’m finding more and more people want that one-on-one accountability and the chance to mastermind with like-minded people. So, wish me luck with that. :)
I also think this would be a great topic to blog about and if you don’t mind I’d like to use what you said, too. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. How are things with your business?
Write on!~
Lisa”
I share this exchange with you because I think you can probably relate to wanting to create your own business on your own terms while NOT losing yourself and I know you can do it because I’ve done it. I’d also love the opportunity to help you. So, I’m inviting you to send an email to Info@writeoncreative.com with the subject line MMMM to request an application and let me know why you might be interested in the Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind program. I’ll send you all the details and an application.

In a nutshell:

  • You’ll get access to me for one-on-one support for 6 months to finish the year strong and move into the New Year with a plan
  • Access to me includes individual telephone time and email access
  • You’ll receive many bonus products (including the Power Planning Process audio & workbook)
  • I’ll review your copy throughout the program to help you get really clear on your message and really connect with your ideal clients
  • We’ll put together a plan for your success to help fine-tune your marketing
Your investment will be less than $1,000 per month (with special payment options for fast acting applicants)
PLUS — we’ll have a mastermind component to network with likeminded people and this is industry exclusive (meaning only 1 person from each specialty or industry) and it’s limited to 10 people maximum.

Please note this program may or may not be offered again because it’s going to take a lot of commitment from me to fully support you and I plan to do quite a bit of traveling in 2011. Applications will only be accepted through the end of September.

And even if you ‘re not ready to step into something bigger and receive individual support and accountability, I ask that you start to be true to yourself and really give some thought to what that looks like to you. How are you being true to yourself and making a difference?

Are You Holding Yourself Back Or Are You FINALLY Ready For Individual Accountability Coaching With a Mastermind Twist To TRULY Support You and Your Business…

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

It’s seems that I stirred up a little something in many of  the Write On Creative Community with my musing from last month. I recapped Ali Brown’s Coaching Business Intensive and highlighted my takeaways. I did this to be of service and it also brought some emotions to the surface. And there was a little bit of discomfort for some.

GOOD!!! The reason I say good is because if you were charged up, scared , excited or dare I even say “%!$$&@” at what I recapped you’re ready (or preparing for) the next step in your entrepreneurial journey. (just quoting someone here, please don’t take offense– I censored this quote because I had several unsubscribes from the eZine after letting it fly– but it is what is is)… I don’t have control over your reaction but you should pay close attention to it…

I firmly believe that if you value yourself and your business you’ll invest in yourself. That’s exactly why I regularly invest in coaching and mentorship programs that move me forward personally and professionally.

Jame, Ali & LisaOne of the many thought-provoking topics discussed at CBI is the importance of only investing in people who invest in themselves. My musing from last month was titled “Never Coach With a Coach Who Doesn’t Have a Coach”. I couldn’t agree more and since coaching with Ali Brown in her Millionaire Protege Club I’ve experienced incredible results. In under two years I’ve gained over 26 new clients from contacts and leads within the group and the average transaction value exceeds $1600.00 (you can do the math if you like — I’m not a numbers person but I am pleased). I am not telling you this to brag — it’s an illustration to show that if you are in the right program at the right time for you — you can enjoy all the success you want (but you must really want it and you must also have a plan…and the right support circle).

I’m sharing this because in my last musing I also announced that I’m finalizing my Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind program — and I asked you what you most wanted in a coaching program. I’ll share what I learned in a minute, but first, I want to recap my takeaways from CBI one more time (they’re important to consider when considering if the MMMM is right for you).

But first the takeaways:

1. Never coach with someone who doesn’t have a coach: Why invest in someone who isn’t constantly investing in themselves? Just sayin’.
2. You are not responsible for your coaching clients you are responsible to them. Don’t take ownership of their actions — you can provide guidance but you cannot make them act and it’s not your fault if they don’t. It’s as simple as the old saying “You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink”.
3. The more successful you become, the more vindictive some people get. (I learned this firsthand when I promoted the Manyon Marketing Makeover Individual Accountability Partnerships — I actually got “hate” mail from one of the Write On Community members.)

This is just a sampling of what really struck a chord with me. The entire experience at CBI gave me specific tools to succeed and motivated me to outline my Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind Program.

Now, here’s what the Write On Community indicated they want. It’s clear that you want a program that combines one-on-one time with your coach and a group mastermind because 80% of you told me that. You’re also willing to invest between $500 to $1000 per month for your ideal program. Plus, there were some other goodies that you felt would make the experience stronger.

I listened and the Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind program combines a blend of personal accountability (so you get one-on-one time with me). Plus a group mastermind so you get the support of like-minded, dynamic individuals who are ready to say “YES” to success and…

• Email access to me to ask pressing Q & A’s along the way
Review of your marketing messages (copy) so you’re truly connecting with your ideal customers
• Support in planning your marketing calendar for 2011 BEFORE the year begins
Continued support for 6 months to help you finish this year strong and roll into the New Year fully prepared to reach your individual goals
• Special bonuses from me (because I LOVE surprises) that will help you continually move your business forward.
Industry exclusive participation (only one person per industry so we all learn new things from each other and keep it exclusive)
• Business building support for less than $1000 per month

This is just a sampling of what you’ll enjoy as we work together to ensure your success. The Manyon Marketing Makeover Mastermind is limited to 10 people.

  • Are you really serious about your business?
  • Do you want to know all the juicy details?
  • Are you ready to work towards your goals?

If you answered YES to any of the questions, I want to hear from you
. Send an email to Info@writeoncreative.com  with the subject line MMMM Program and in your own words tell me why you want to be a part of this program. If it sounds like we’re a good fit, I’ll and send you an application. Don’t delay — applications will close at the end of September.

Reach out and let me know what you most want in a coaching and mentorship program? I’d really love to connect and hear what you have to say. Post your comments here or send an email to the address above.

Do You Know Who Your Customers Really Are & How to Reach Them?

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010
Ideal customersIt’s interesting to me how many people truly don’t know who their clients are let alone how to reach them. I don’t mean the clients you’ve already done business with – chances are you’ve developed a relationship with them and know what makes them tick. What I mean is your ideal clients and customers. The ones you want to continually attract with the RIGHT marketing message– focused messaging.

Although this concept is not new, focused messaging is shaping the way marketers approach consumers. The need for narrowly focused messages that have been developed specifically for your ideal consumer; as opposed to wide spread demographics is imperative to the success of any marketing campaign. And it’s becoming increasingly so for websites.  Building successful relationships online hinges largely on the know, like and trust factor. People need to know you, like you and trust you to do business and at the same time, your message must truly be crafted to connect with them and motivate action.

Savvy marketers know it’s completely passé’ to ask, “Who is your target market” and receive an answer of something as broad as “Women aged 18 – 34.” It simply isn’t efficient or effective to try to be all things to everyone and there needs to be more psychographic information to truly identify your ideal client (or as Lorrie Morgan Ferrero says “Tarket” the word she coined to embody your target market on a much more personal level).  Although creating “positioning” messages (sometimes referred to as institutional ads) to reach the masses has been standard in traditional radio, print, television and even brochure style website advertising, Web consumers aren’t buying it. Consumers crave real interaction and specialized attention like never before. Your message needs to REALLY speak to consumers on a personal and emotional level.

It’s no surprise then that simple positioning marketing, advertising and promotional materials have become less effective as consumers demand more authenticity and accountability in marketing messages. Budgets also dictate the use of direct response tactics to bring results. Traditional positioning campaigns are becoming supplemental (budget allowing) only after direct response is in place (which is where most ad dollars are being spent). This shift necessitates alliances of copywriters and direct response marketers who manage complete direct marketing systems for clients or at the very least to ensure all messages are congruent and speaking to the ideal customer via  marketing mediums they also relate to.

Finally, acknowledgement that women are the primary consumers and respond differently than men (although not new information) is beginning  to show in the majority of  marketing messages. Savvy marketers know who is responsible for the largest portion of buying decisions and they’re doing their homework so they can craft messages that truly connect based on media preference.

So, with all this being said:

  • Do you know who your customers are and how to reach them?
  • Or are you sending the wrong message to the wrong people?
  • What shifts in advertising and marketing have you seen and how is it impacting how you strategically create your messaging?
