Friday, July 24th, 2009

There is a BIG SHIFT happening and savvy entrepreneurs are at the forefront of change. So, I want to give you a quick heads up a groundbreaking preview call hosted by Ali Brown. Please mark your calendar for?  *Wednesday, July 29* and read on to get the details.

You many know that Ali Brown is one of my mentors and I have to say I’m very impressed with what she delivers. She over delivers and provides content of REAL value. Honestly, I wouldn’t waste your time if I didn’t think this call will change the way you think about business. She’s revealing info about her latest and greatest endeavor and I want you to come along for the ride.

It’s called “Shine: The New Entrepreneurial Model That’s Changing the World”

(In a hurry? Sign up for this complimentary call now.)

If you haven’t heard of Ali, get ready to have your world changed forever. This dynamic woman is paving a new road for entrepreneurs with her business models and income growth strategies. She got started with a hand-me-down computer and has since then created a multimillion dollar company devoted to helping women and men create profitable businesses (and lives) that can help change the world. (She even recently launched her own print magazine, but you’ll hear about that later.)

The important thing to know is Ali’s methods work – she’s helped everyone from home-based moms to millionaires double or triple their revenues by ramping up their businesses.

Well, Ali’s ready to launch something brand new and BIG. And she’s revealing all on this one-time complimentary teleseminar called “Shine”, which you can learn more about it here.

You see, there’s a monumental shift happening in business, and the world.

Previous income models are failing and fading. Entrepreneurs who are continuing to operate as they have previously are finding the same old strategies are not working anymore. In fact, they are likely hurting their business.

The “traditional” paradigms for success are collapsing. And those who know will be leading the way as they SHINE…

* It’s not about working harder – it’s about daring to work differently
* It’s not about marketing with hype – it’s about authenticity, with style
* It’s not about dreaming dreams – it’s about pursuing them purposefully
* It’s not about materialism – it’s about wealth of self, inside and out

Ali will explain it all on this one-time call. She’ll also be sharing about her groundbreaking new LIVE Shine event this fall in Las Vegas, Nevada. (And you’ll learn how you can enjoy a generous $500 discount off the ticket price.)

Do Your Marketing Materials Include an “Ask?”

Friday, July 24th, 2009

By: Lisa Manyon www.lisamanyon.com

Since copy (the written part of any advertising, marketing and promotional material) is truly the secret to sales success and REALLY connecting with your clients – it’s important to ensure you’re including ALL of the key elements.

Once you craft your engaging headline, create an enticing subhead, clearly show your customers or prospect the “What’s In It For Me” factor, you get to the heart of your business by telling your story and you make an offer there’s only one thing left to do. “ASK”.

One of the best pieces of advice I can offer when creating copy is to always include an offer, otherwise known as a call to action. Just because you’ve presented an offer doesn’t mean people will be compelled to take the next step. It’s important to ask them to take a specific action. If you don’t have a clear path to the next step you run the risk of losing any engagement you’ve established thus far.

What do you want your customers to do? Don’t assume they’ll come to your website or storefront just because you’ve told them you’re there. Results driven advertising, marketing and promotions take more planning and effort than an “If I build it they will come” approach.

Give your prospects and customers a reason to support your business. Invite them in to your storefront, request they visit your website and be sure to ask them to take action by giving them a compelling reason to do so.

What are you “asking” your clients and prospects to do?
Advertisements designed to build top of the mind awareness without any clear call to action are called institutional ads. If you have an unlimited budget this can be effective. I’m simply making a case for the use of direct response tactics in all of your marketing efforts. Direct response ads get better results. They promote action, engage and motivate building relationships (generally in the form of sales). Plus there tends to be a much larger return on investment when you incorporate direct marketing and actually “ASK” prospects to act.

Isn’t that what marketing is really all about?

Take a moment to consider the types of marketing or advertisements you personally respond to. If you see an ad on television that is unclear do you immediately gravitate toward the brand being featured? Probably not. When you see an ad with a specific offer, perhaps a solution to a problem you’ve been experiencing or an item that fills a need you have right now you’re more likely to take action.

Ask your audience to take action. What are you asking your customers to do? Are they taking action? Are sales increasing? Share your thoughts here.

The Right Tools To Build Your Biz

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

When I started my business in 2003 there was A LOT of trial and error. Although I made some really great choices and aligned myself with resources and mentors to help me grow, there wasn’t one program that really addressed EVERYTHING (or almost everything) I needed to know to succeed at an accelerated pace.

Interestingly enough, my friend and colleague Melani Ward felt the same way. So, we thought “What the heck! Let’s just combine our knowledge and put together a really juicy program for a super accessible price to help others!”

That’s exactly what we did. We are so excited to have a really JUICY marketing program to offer to entrepreneurs who are either new at this or who have found themselves in the same place in their biz year after year and need some hard core, proven, juicy strategies to get unstuck.

If you were anything like me, you would have given anything for straight answers and ONE program that would have helped you make sense of the marketing madness. You might be in a place in your business where things are rolling but you need to juice it up. Either way, I invite you to check this out for yourself and please pass it on to friends and colleagues you think might benefit. If you want a taste of just how juicy this is, grab your free audios here http://www.juiceyourbiz.com/

Rock On ~ Chickenfoot

Friday, July 17th, 2009

by Lisa Manyon: www.lisamanyon.com

So, this month I’m taking a break from my “blast from the past” music archives that are loaded on my nifty purple Ipod Nano. In fact, I’m really enjoying the newly released album Chickenfoot that a new friend introduced me to.

Chickenfoot is comprised of vocalist Sammy Hagar (ex-Van Halen and Montrose), bassist Michael Anthony (ex-Van Halen), guitarist Joe Satriani and drummer Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers).

I dig their vibe and am impressed with what they’ve created. A few of my faves so far – “Learning to Fall” and “Future in the Past” – you’ll find hard driving tunes and some mellower songs. Take a listen and let me know what speaks to you.

Are You ‘Offering’ Your Customers REAL Value?

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

By: Lisa Manyon www.lisamanyon.com

Let’s quickly recap the elements of good copywriting. Copy (the written part of any marketing material) is the secret to sales success. There are several components to copy and they all must work together.

Here are some of the basic elements to keep in mind when you begin to write your copy:

  • It’s vital to craft engaging headlines – the headline is the 1st thing people read in ANY marketing & advertising materials.
  • Take time to clearly show customers the “What’s in it for me” factor. Simply put your customers don’t care much about who you are or what you do but they do care about what you or your product can do for them.
  • Be sure to get to the heart of your business by telling your story. A story, your story, connects you with customers and begins to build relationships.
  • It might seem that’s all you need to connect with customers but you’re missing a key sales tool. The OFFER.

Offer something of value for no charge. Once you’ve invited customers to your site, make it worth their time. You can take advantage of permission based email marketing by requesting email addresses in exchange for a special report or article based on your expertise. (Note: there are affordable software programs to manage the opt in process and avoid SPAM.)

For example: James Roche, also know as the Info Product Guy, has an opt in request at the top of his website homepage. A clear offer to learn more about his product or services at no cost is a sure way to begin the online business relationship.

When you visit any of my websites or blog you’ll also find an offer for my free Copywriting Action Plan. It’s a great way to build relationships and give people a taste of what I have to offer.

Take action: What is your offer? Is it clear to your customer? Review your website and ask yourself if you are offering valuable, complimentary information to potential customers. If you aren’t making an offer, create something today. If you are, does it need to be updated?
