Honing Your Craft and Crafting a Living ~
By: Lisa Manyon www.writeoncreative.com
Recently Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero asked me if I would act as a team leader during her Red Hot Copywriting Bootcamp!
Of course, I said “YES!”
What a fantastic opportunity and a real honor.
Being familiar with the quality of training, I jumped on the opportunity to be involved. This helps me refine my writing skills (no matter how good you are, it’s important to continue to learn new tricks of the trade).
Plus, I’m able to exercise leadership skills and network with a truly remarkable group of people. I’ll keep you posted on how our team does. We’re in the midst of a friendly competition and it’s been really fun so far.
As you can probably tell, I’m big fan of Lorrie’s work. I’ve completed her home study course Red Hot Copy to Woo Your Target Market, attended her Speed Copywriting Live Event and invested in personal mentorship with her. But, she isn’t my only mentor. In fact,
Peter Bowerman was the first professional copywriter to reignite my passion for writing and prompt me to start my own business. His book, The Well-Fed Writer, made me change directions and I couldn’t be more grateful.
My business, Write On ~ Creative Writing Services, focuses on both copywriting and marketing (a great combination by the way) and one of my goals is to help others as my mentors have helped me. That’s why I’m really excited about the release of my eBook Proven Techniques to Recognize, Avoid and Correct 4 Common Marketing Mistakes. And, I’m equally excited to have support from many mentors in the form of testimonials and bonus articles. I feel blessed that Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero, Peter Bowerman, Bob Bly, Ali Brown, Kim Castle, Joan Stewart, Vickie Sullivan, Adam Urbanski and Jill Lublin believe in me and what I have to offer you.
Peter Bowerman has decided to start calling me the “Thank You Card Queen” because I’ve sent him several personal thank you notes for his support. That made me smile and it’s added proof that taking the extra time to let people know they’re truly appreciated, really makes a difference. Being the “Thank You Card Queen” might not be quite as impressive as being the Ezine Queen, but it’s a start.
Are you investing in professional development? What great accomplishments have you made lately? Why not invest in yourself and your business by learning something new today?
You’ll thank me if you do and you don’t even have to send a card.

Hi Lisa!
That’s excellent! It’ll be one more way that I get to interact with you as I am working with Lorrie right now as well! Congratulations!
Also, thank you SO much for the thank you card! I got it in the mail today and I thought that was so lovely! I love getting nice things in the mail as opposed to bills and junk mail

Hey Erin,
You’ll LOVE working with Lorrie. Her energy is amazing and she’s just a great person.
You are so welcome for the thank you card. Thanks for mentioning it. What a great way to illustrate how a personal touch really makes a difference. But, don’t underestimate that junk mail either. You’ll find some real gems in there for your swipe files.
