All it Takes is Registering for a Teleseminar and then Making the Call ~

Okay, so it takes a little bit more than that and at the same time, you can learn a lot by participating…

Teleseminars have been a big part of my learning curve when it comes to internet marketing. Which by the way, is much more than just slapping up a website, crossing your fingers and hoping people drop by. Ah, but that’s another topic …

Today I’m focused on teleseminars and excited about being featured by Lorrie Morgan – Ferrero, NEXT WEEK. The premium POWER Planning Process teleseminar will be offered on January 17th at 5 p.m. Pacific/8 p.m. Eastern. To learn more visit this link

Plus, you can hear a sneak peek from a PR Web news release and pod cast here (pod links are listed on the left-hand side of the page)

I certainly hope to hear you on the call, where you’ll learn how to incorporate planning into your mix for success. Plus, I’ll be unveiling a helpful resource available for the first time in eBook format, after the call. Basically, I’ve packed over 15 years of industry experience into this eBook. This means I’m saving you years of agony trying to figure things out the hard way. Proven Techniques To Recognize, Avoid And Correct 4 Common Marketing Mistakes not only walks you through four key areas of marketing, the eBook also contains advice and articles from national gurus who have helped me along the way.

Practice Makes Perfect….

I’ve got a little secret to share. Right in the middle of some pretty tight deadlines for projects, I gave myself a two hour break to play.

I hadn’t been on the course for over a month and I was starting to miss it. Plus, I had hit a creative roadblock that could only be unblocked by hacking the ball around a bit (within two hours you can usually finish 9 holes…just in case you’re not a golfer).

The first shot off the tee was sweet! I definitely had the wind in my favor. The rest of my shots, well, let’s just say it showed that I hadn’t been practicing. There was a lot of hacking going on.

John asked me if I planned to join the ladies association this year to help hone my game and I told him I’d think about it. He casually mentioned it might help my game. And when I was getting really frustrated and thinking about yelling four letter words like “GOLF!!!”, John politely pointed out that I couldn’t really expect to do exceptionally well if I only play once a month.

PR Web Features and other Fun, Business Building Tactics ~

The New Year has kicked in with a vengeance and that is a good thing. I’m implementing several new marketing tactics and I’m interested to hear what you’re up to. You can register in the top right-hand corner of my blog, then login and post your comments to be heard, or actually read. In fact, I’d really like it if you would take the time to do just that

I’m still receiving residual response from a press release distributed through PR Web last month. It seems that over 90,000 people are interested to learn about the first professional copywriter in the state of Idaho to earn Glazer-Kennedy Creating Copy that Sells certification. I’m cool with that, especially because that just happens to be me and it’s been interesting to watch the stats of the release grow. Plus the pod cast interview is a nice touch. Listen in here.

Tunstall Rocks On~

My current favorite is KT Tunstall Eye To The Telescope. I particularly like her raw acoustic sounds and am impressed by her fresh lyrics (most of which are written by her). Plus, call it a writers thing, I really like the freeform scribbles on the inside of her CD jacket (Okay, that may not have anything to do with the music, but I’m getting there).  In my opinion the best track is Black Horse and the Cherry Tree, but you decide.

Money Matters ~ A Penny for Your Thoughts?

Monday, January 1st, 2007

By: Lisa Manyon www.writeoncreative.com

The December issue of Costco Connections has me all fired up. Well, not the entire issue just the informed debate topic.

The question is posed: Should we eliminate the penny?

Two expert opinions are featured. It’s a well balanced debate. However, the professor of economics is convinced the penny has to go. He cites that pennies waste valuable time and says wages in the United States average more than $18 per hour and goes on to say it takes the typical person about two seconds to earn a penny. It’s also, apparently, getting more expensive to produce the penny.

Thankfully, the executive director of the Americans for Common Cents has some pro-penny thoughts to share and most reassuring fact is that is a Coinstar poll, 79% of Americans were in favor of keeping the penny around.

So, why am I fired up about this? Several reasons and here they are. (more…)
