Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero’s Speed Copywriting Workshop in Redondo Beach, California was phenomenal. I spent four power-packed days learning, living and connecting with like-minded people with real vision.
While I had every intention of posting updates on the blog during the event, there simply wasn’t time. Each day left me supercharged with too much to think about.
It was the best thing I have done for myself professionally, ever. If you can glean one bit of insight from this, remember to attend workshops and events that connect you with people you can learn from.
Lorrie’s line-up included her own amazing talents plus guest gurus Perry Marshall, James Roche’, Mitch Carson, Wendi Friesen, John Carlton and Michael Port.
I cannot adequately verbalize the power of this event. If you were not there, you missed out on a life-changing opportunity. This event, and I call it an event because it was so much more than a workshop, opened the floodgates of possibility.
Lorrie spared no expense by offering value packed content and interaction of ideas. Her genuine desire to provide tools for success was not missed.
I’m sure I’ll have more to say about it in the near future but right now I’m on information overload and still processing the euphoria that touched everyone there. When I mentioned that I cannot adequately verbalize the experience, I wasn’t kidding. That, in itself, speaks volumes.
I’m glad to be home but find making myself a tuna sandwich isn’t as fun as having lunch with one of the top female copywriters in the nation (that’s Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero if you haven’t caught on yet), Michael Port, bestselling author of Book Yourself Solid (if you don’t have this book, buy it now bookyourselfsolid.com ) and many other extraordinary people.
In fact, it makes ordinary life seem a bit trite.
But, something really cool did happen since I’ve returned. Well, actually there’s been a snowball effect of really cool opportunities and occurrences.
I received an e-mail requesting permission to reprint my article Nine Ways to Network More Effectively in an upcoming book that Bob Bly is writing The Complete Idiots Guide to Unconventional Marketing. How cool is that!!! Just as I was wondering, “Who can I share this with?” Charlon Bobo gave me a call. Okay, if you haven’t heard of Charlon Bobo, she’s just one of the dynamic ladies I met at THE EVENT. Anyway, I was able to share my success with Charlon and we created our own mini mastermind to help each other realize and explore goals while helping other women. More on that later…
Fast forward a few nights… I was at the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce, Business After Hours event at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club. While visiting with one of the new Chamber members we noticed a group of women sitting at a table working on something. Further investigation showed they were using Lorrie’s features and benefits matrix from an article I had written for the Chamber newsletter just this month.
It was so cool to see other people tapping into tools that will only help them be more successful and I was happy to be a small part of that.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised to find the gurus that we put up on pedestals are real people too. More often than not, they’re ready and willing to help you achieve your dreams.
