• Blog talk radio logoBy being proactive you can create a solid marketing plan for success.  As we grow and evolve this may mean that our business model will change, too. With this in mind, it’s important to create your Content Strategy Plan (aka Internet marketing editorial calendar) at least a quarter in advance.

NOW is THE time to evaluate where you are, where you’ve been and where you’re going.

    This includes:

    • Reviewing revenue streams and projections
    • Making adjustments as necessary
    • Revisiting strategy and execution

To help get the juices flowing I’m sharing a rich resource. I was honored to be interviewed by Jim Nemley on BlogTalkRadio. He is a such a great source of information and inspiration. I could talk to him about marketing and strategy for hours. I’m sharing our interview from Building Your Xtra-Ordinary Business Radio Program here because it’s full of rich business marketing resources and I’d love to hear your thoughts. Click here to listen (it’s about an hour and well worth the listen).

I also expand upon some of the tips we covered in the featured article 7 Hot Business Strategy Tips. Click here to read it

As always, your comments are encouraged. What was your biggest takeaway?

The more I work with clients the more I realize how few business owners really get the concept of a marketing plan that folds seamlessly into where they want to take themselves and their business. Good points, Lisa!

      • Lisa Manyon says:

        Sue,

Yes, the plan is crucial. That’s why I say Copy is QUEEN and Content Strategy (the plan) is KING. It’s all a huge part of creating marketing messages with integrity.

      Amusing! Great post

    4. A well-thought-out marketing plan is ESSENTIAL to success. It never ceases to amaze me that so many people think their category of endeavor is somehow exempt from marketing. Um. No. It is ALL marketing if you want success!

      Cheers!

    5. Mitch Tublin says:

The population of online users will continue to grow exponentially over the next five or six years. Similarly,
more and more businesses are recognizing an online presence means more than slapping up a one page website. You do a great job of describing many of the items people must consider when they are preparing to put themselves out there. Get all of this in order first.

      • Lisa Manyon says:

        Mitch,

Yes, planning and content are vital to the success of any business. Too many people “wing it” and the results or lack thereof speak for themselves.

        Write on!~

      Congratulations on the interview Lisa!!!

    7. A marketing plan shouldn’t be done once and sit on the shelf gathering dust – it is so important to review and make adjustments along the way.

What a smooth talker Jim is! Great interview outlining your “Challenge, Solution Invitation™” copywriting and marketing system.
