• Spring

When Spring rolls around I always feel like it’s time for fresh perspective. It also seems timely to refresh web copy and marketing messages (it’s recommended that you do this, at a minimum, each quarter).

What are you focusing on and where do you  need some fresh perspective?

Lately I’ve received some cool visibility opportunities  So, speaking of fresh perspective, I’m sharing these interviews with you so you can grab some instant takeaways to apply to your marketing efforts.

1Access the instant replay of Marla Tabaka interviewing me about how to leverage press exposure once you get it. We discuss my interview in Inc. Magazine and more. Listen here (access  my interview in the “recent shows section” to the right of the info about me).

2During this quick 1/2 segment Cathy Alessandra interviews me on Innovative Women in Business Radio. We discuss marketing techniques that work for women and my new formula for marketing and copywriting success. Listen here. (feel free to hit the social media share buttons to share the love).

3You can also read a bit about my back story in this online interview for Today’s Innovative Women where I am featured as the Innovative Woman of the Week. I think you might enjoy my definition of success. Your comments and social media shares are appreciated. Read it here

Finally, speaking of refreshing things, I’ve recently made some changes to the Write On Creative website and gained even more clarity about my mission and message (remember I’ve said that your website and marketing are ever-evolving — I wasn’t kidding). Take a peek here and let me know what you think? www.writeoncreative.com

Here’s how I’ve fine tuned my overall message and focus (remember you don’t have to change everything BUT gaining more clarity helps your prospects know how you can serve them when they become paying clients.)

At Write On Creative we focus on working with mission-driven entrepreneurs who are authors, speakers, coaches, trainers, teachers, artists, healers and light-workers. While these diverse thought leaders seemingly have nothing in common, they have ONE common thread. That common thread is a BIG MISSION. Often they struggle to turn their mission into a palatable marketing message because the “problem, agitate and solve” As seen in INCapproach to marketing turns them off. That’s where my formula of “Challenge. Solution. Invitation.™” (as seen in Inc. Magazine) comes into play. My history changing approach is resonating with change-agents because it shifts the energy of marketing, builds relationships and gets results without being manipulative. If this resonates with you and you need copy, have copy that needs help or want to do it yourself, you’re in the right place. Our current entry point is the Manyon Marketing Web Makeover. This is one-on-one time with me and I only accept 4 per week (from there we determine what’s next for you and you’re eligible for preferred client investments for future services. This includes assistance with online and offline marketing strategies to grow your bottom line).

Is it time for a Spring cleaning of your website and marketing messages?

    1. Love the freshness spring brings too Lisa (although we are about to go into hibernation mode in Oz as we enter Autumn)
In answer to your question am focusing on getting a longer term vision for my company and am getting some fresh perspective from my new Chief Innovation Officer.
As for your revised website – looks great – the video is great and your diction lovely and clear. My only comment would be that for a copywriter (understand it is your craft) the home page seems a little too copy heavy. All the best with it!

      • Lisa Manyon says:

        Heidi,

Enjoy your hibernation and thanks for the feedback. My homepage is intentionally copy heavy for several strategic reasons. I don’t recommend this approach for everyone. :)

        Write on!~

      Love,
      Katherine.

    3. Thanks for the reminder Lisa – to go and do some revisions and spring-cleaning on my site….

Good to know. I’m going to have to put reminders in my calendar to make sure I look over these things on a regular basis. Thanks for the reminder.

    5. It’s so true that our marketing and messaging is ever evolving. It leads us to more clarity about who we serve, what we do and why we do it. Great reminder to look at our messaging and marketing and making sure it is an accurate reflection of our business.

      • Lisa Manyon says:

        Doreen,

Yes, staying on task with review of everything to make sure our content and strategy if fresh AND relevant is quite the challenge (and a fun one!).

    7. Yay! I love it when you give us juicy resources to explore. :) And I agree — spring cleaning is such a simple, yet powerful, way to boost business marketing …

    8. Yep, time for more makeovers. Spring cleaning/spring sprucing up is a great way to look at it. And it’s fun watching it evolve. Thanks again for providing such juicy resources.

      • Lisa Manyon says:

        Terry,

You are welcome. It’s always fun to watch friends, clients and colleagues evolve. What’s on your “Spring cleaning” list?

        Write on!~

    9. Lisa Mininni says:

Lisa: Right on! (or should I say write on) :)
Couldn’t agree more. Your website and marketing messages are forever evolving.

      • Lisa Manyon says:

        Lisa,

Either way is appropriate. One of the biggest mistakes I see people making is approaching web copy and strategy with the “set it and forget it” mentality. Our marketing messages, web presence and image all evolve with time — as we evolve as people and as our ideal clients evolve.

        Write on!~

      • Lisa Manyon says:

        Lisa,

Thanks so much. It’s a good thing Spring is a time or renewal and rejuvenation. Otherwise I might have a hard time keeping up with me. 😉
