    We are getting GREAT feedback from our on the juicy content and many of you are reaching out with questions because you’re still not sure where you’re missing the mark.

    A great number of you have websites that are getting traffic but you’re not making sales.  There are also some of you who just don’t know where to start (you need a website but don’t have your copy or a designer in mind).

    Regardless of where you are with your site there is a common theme behind all of the questions coming our way. Specifically you’d like to know how YOU can gauge whether or not your site is working for you.

    We’ve identified three areas where most websites are falling flat. Most often your site isn’t converting visitors, your site isn’t connecting with ideal clients and even worse your website lacks overall content strategy and flow.

    I’ve outlined some of the signs of each problem area for you here:

    1) Signs your website isn’t turning potential clients into clients or customers (meaning your website isn’t converting):

    You don’t offer a sample or “freebie” to your visitors so they have no idea what you’re all about or if they’d ever want to work with youYou don’t give people a reason to take action TODAY so clearly no action is being taken and you’re losing salesYou don’t invite your visitors to take a NEXT step on every page of your site and they are left confused and unsure of what they should do. When you DO make a sale, you assume the online conversation is over and you fail to implement a proven, tried formula to success…You are not seeing any return on investment for your efforts to get visitors to your website.

    2) Signs your website isn’t CONNECTING with your ideal clients:

    Your content isn’t targeted to your IDEAL market–it’s written for “everyone” and if you’re really honest with yourself you may still have no idea who your ideal client is..Your content goes on and on about YOU or your company, but doesn’t really highlight RESULTS or BENEFITS (which is exactly what your clients care about)You get a lot of visitors to your website but no one is buying or accepting your freebies and you cannot figure out why (if you even have one).

    3) Signs your website lacks overall content strategy and PLANNING:

    You haven’t clearly thought out the purpose of your website from the start (note the purpose is your “why”You don’t have any opt-in boxes or clear graphics where people can sign up or sign in to get their free taste and ultimately help decide if they want to do business with youYou are all about the hard sell — you’re focused on pitching your products or services instead of coming from a place of service.

    If you’re nodding your head in agreement to ANY of these very clear signs that your website isn’t working for you, it’s time to clearly evaluate what’s working and what isn’t.
